Sanctuary: The Journey to Self-Love
Once upon a time, there was a girl. And she stood out like a sore thumb among others around her…and hated herself for being different. Yet, when she tried to fit in, she wasn’t happy: on the contrary, she felt even lonelier. It wasn’t until she accepted herself for who she was that she was able to shine.
Sanctuary is a fashion styling shoot exploring self-love through the integration of art in fashion.
Inspired by an animated music video I love called “Yoku” by Eve, the artists I grew up loving and have befriended along the way, and the ways people combine art with dressing up, I wanted to create a styling project that creatively showed my artistic influences and upbringing with this journey of being a fashion student and the highs and lows that come with it.
