Throughout the years, I have experimented with various art & design forms, expanding my creative work to include digital collages and Arabic calligraphy, all as a nod to my diverse, creative Palestinian-American upbringing.

Digital Collages

What started as simply making collage-style mood boards for fashion projects unfolded into its own art form: the creation of complex digital mixed media with a world and story of their own, drawing inspiration from multiple sources like my cultural upbringing, pop culture and entertainment media, and classic literature. All collages are made using Adobe Photoshop.

Arabic Calligraphy

As a Muslim artist, it is only natural that I’d learn Arabic calligraphy as part of my creative upbringing. It is like a rite of passage, in a sense, but also a tribute to my ancestral background as a Palestinian-American with roots in Saudi Arabia and Ottoman Turkey. All calligraphic works were made using pen and ink, along with other traditional art mediums like colored pencils and paint.
